The music industry is notorious for pitting female entertainers against each other, but in the case of the Taylor Swift vs Katy Perry feud  – we can safely say Swift did this to herself.

On the back of Tay-Tay’s ‘1989’ record, Swift let slip in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine that she and Perry were no longer pals, dedicating the song ‘Bad Blood’ to their friendship ending.

At the time, Perry low-key clapped back, tweeting, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing,” but she has otherwise taken the high road.

While Swift remains in some kind of mysterious hiatus in the aftermath of her v. public clash with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Perry has finally addressed the apparent ‘bad blood’ between the pop stars.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she spoke about her forthcoming album, and was asked whether she will respond to Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ record directed at her.

“I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person,” she said, adding, “One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me.

Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that’s not to any one person, and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that.”

While obviously trying to avoid her words being taken as a jab at Swift, they obvs are directed at the ‘Blank Space’ singer, and she even added this nugget.

“Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story.”

Amen sista. Can we let this feud die already?!?
