Hollywood has banded together for a moving tribute to the Orlando homophobic shooting, with celebs reading out the names and stories of the victims.
49 actors are involved in the moving tribute to the 49 LGBT people killed in the senseless attack. The Human Rights Campaign video was produced by ‘American Horror Story’s Ryan Murphy, with several of the AHS family featured.
The celebs involved include Lady Gaga, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Lea Michele, Jane Fonda, Caitlyn Jenner, Emma Roberts, Kerry Washington, Sofia Vergara, Demi Lovato, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lee Daniels, Chace Crawford, Evan Peters, Gerard Butler, Katey Sagal, John Stamos and Laverne Cox.
The 18 minute clip really drives home that not only was Orlando the worst gun shooting in modern American history but also one of the deadliest attack on the LGBT community. It shows that the massacre has become a symbol of how dangerous homophobia can be. The clip hopes to bring change in LGBTQ legal protections and common-sense gun violence prevention measures.
