A Disney Film That Was Lost For 87 Years Has Been Rediscovered
Long before Inside Out, Toy Story and even Mikey Mouse himself, Walt Disney created his first ever character named Oswald the Lucky Rabbit first staring 1927.
Many of the original films created by Disney staring Oswald have been lost but today, after 87 years, a movie called ‘Sleigh Bells’ has been unearthed by The British Film Institute (BFI) National Archive. The six minute clip is a big win for Disney enthusiasts as it’s believed to be the sole surviving print.
Fans are set to get a fully restored version of Sleigh Bells next month after it premieres in London as part of a Christmas program including other Disney shorts from the 1930s to the present day.
