A Gif Guide To The Cast Of Love, Simon
Every once in a while a film comes along that makes you fall in love with going to the movies all over again... 'Love, Simon' is one of those special films. Don’t miss it in cinemas from March 29.
Every generation needs their young adult, high school comedy-meets-romance movie – and in 2018 that film is Love, Simon, a ground-breaking movie about falling in love for the first time and being true to yourself.
If you need more reasons to get behind it: Jack Antonoff curated the soundtrack, and it’s from the people who brought us The Fault In Our Stars. But let’s be honest: even a great movie plot is nothing without a stellar cast. Here’s the rundown on who you need to know.
Simon Spier, The Hero
Simon has a perfect life as a high school senior, except for the one thing he is stressing out about: he’s gay, and no one knows. He has great parents (well, as far as parents go), and a really cool group of pals: there’s Leah, who has stuck by his side through thick and thin, and his best bud Nick.
Simon begins an online relationship with another guy at this school, but here is the catch: he doesn’t know who it is. Solving the mystery will end up changing Simon’s life.
Nick Eisner, The BFF
Nick is juggling a lot, right now: homework, senior year, and his crush on Abby Suso, since she transferred to their school six months ago. He’s outgoing, fun, and Simon’s right-hand man.
Leah Burke, The Other BFF
Leah is one of Simon’s closest friends, but what she doesn’t know is that Simon is falling for a mystery classmate, who he found through the school’s gossip blog. It’s complicated and messy – but whose high school experience isn’t? We’ve got a huge amount of Aussie pride for this cast member – she is played by Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why)!
Abby Suso, The Free Spirit
Abby is super fun and cheerful, one of Simon’s inner circle. She is well-liked, but is a free and friendly spirit, and trying hard to stay true to herself in a world where you are just getting to know yourself.
Mr Worth, The Quirky Authority Figure
Vice-Principal Worth is an affable, zany and downright cool person to have on your team – and when you’re Simon, you feel like you need as much support as you can get!
Martin Addison, The Class Clown
Every class has a clown, and Martin fills that place – a bit of a lovable goofball… but there’s more to him than meets the eye.
Blue, The Love Interest
Blue is the mystery man that Simon falls in love with. We don’t want to spoil the film so that’s all we’re saying…
