We’re a few weeks into The Bachelorette and while there’s been some drama, nothing looks as dramatic as the sneak peek we were shown of the final episode.

In case you can’t remember or weren’t paying attention, here’s what went down.

We have a sombre Osher asking Ali if she’s sure about her decision:

We have a glowing Ali telling Osher she’s in love:

We have some dramatic music and a guy whispering “Goodbye” to a crying Ali:

And then, we have THIS shot of Ali not looking all that happy and in love after all:

Phew, that’s a lot to deal with in one go.

Before I toss and turn and lose sleep over this, here are some compelling theories as to why Ali is so emotional in the final episode.

1. She realised she made a big mistake going on another dating show

After the disastrous end with Grant earlier this year, maybe another dating show wasn’t a good idea. We all need time to be alone!

(At least that’s what I tell myself every night.)

2. She hates the dress she was put in

In fact, all she’s doing right here is just trying to take it off.

3. She heard James Trethewie was going to be on Bachelor In Paradise 2019 and realised she missed her shot

Honestly, fair enough, I’d cry too.

4. Charlie was the only one left

Yikes.

5. She does a Honey Badger and picks no one

Please God, not again, the last remnants of my sanity can’t take it.

6. She’s mad at the Honey Badger for fatiguing fans of the show before her season premiered

I would be too.

7. And the most likely reason: She feels upset after hurting one of the men, but will go on the declare her love for the other man

I think we will see Ali find her forever match (or 18-month contract match) and what we’re being teased is her slightly OTT reaction to hurting someone*.
