Get it, girl! Australian DJ Alison Wonderland has gotten results. What do you get when you’re called out for posting rape jokes on a well-known DJs Insta? A tirade of public shaming, a slap of humiliation, and a life lesson learnt. We hope.
In depressing news for the state of humanity, bros who joke about rape still exist – like a stubborn fly Mortein just can’t seem to get rid of. Fortunately, one of the most effective means of troll repellent is exactly what this headlining DJ did: call them out.
Yo I wouldn’t usually call people out but I feel like this time it is important. Last 2 comments. This is not ok. Ever. I don’t care if it’s a ‘joke’. Not. Ok.

Condemning the two commenters over Facebook to her 214k fans, Alison Wonderland publicly criticised the degenerates saying, “This is not ok. Ever. I don’t care if it’s a ‘joke’. Not. Ok.” The significance of this action speaks volumes when you see some of the responses she’s received lauding her for speaking up for not only herself, but women everywhere who experience similar aggressions daily.
Gone are the days when women had to put up with the decay of society trivialising violence against women, because the sisterhood is fighting back. Since being posted around midnight, Alison Wonderland’s post has been shared over a hundred times and garnered thousands of likes, being celebrated for taking a stand on an issue many women are pressured to be silent on.
Holding people accountable online is the justice system of the social media age. Regardless of if these chumps are sincerely remorseful or simply apologising to appease the masses, there’s no doubt this’ll make them think twice before being a rubbish human being.
