‘American Horror Story’ Is Getting A Spooky Spin-Off & It Sounds Awesome
American Horror Story is about to get even spookier: creator Ryan Murphy announced that he is making a spin-off anthology series called: American Horror Stories.
The series will feature stand-alone episodes — all individual scary stories — and will likely star familiar faces to the AHS family. Murphy hosted a zoom call with some AHS faves, and dropped the news on Instagram:
“American Horror Story cast zoom call…where we reminisced about the good times…the spin-off we’re doing called American Horror Stories (one hour contained episodes)…when we will start filming the next season of the mothership…and other stuff I cannot print. It was so much fun and I’m glad we caught up. I miss everyone!”
I’m trying not to panic, but Murphy pretty much confirms in the post that the spin-off will star some of the above OG cast, which includes the likes of Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, and (*deep breath*)…Jessica Lange.
Lange left the show as a core cast member in 2015, leaving fans devastated but since the spin-off would only require its stars to commit to one episode at a time, this could mark her grand return.
Murphy hasn’t disclosed any more info about the spin-off series or when it will premiere but we’ll keep y’all posted. The original AHS series will still go ahead with its upcoming tenth season, which will see Peters and Paulson make a comeback, as well as featuring Macaulay Culkin as a new cast member.
