Sorry To Disrupt Your Day, But WTF Is Up With Ansel Elgort’s Instagram Right Now?
Earlier today some colleagues pointed out Ansel Elgort, famous actor of The Fault in Our Stars fame, had just posted a whole bunch of selfies on his Instagram in a row. Which is weird. Everyone knows the rules of Instagram is to just pick the hottest photo and go from there.
But go off, Ansel, I’m not your boss.
Finally, as the clock struck 4pm on a Wednesday and I realised I was still chained to my chair for another hour and a half, I figured it was time to take a look and see what was really happening in the actor’s world.
And my co-workers indeed did not lie.
Ansel Elgort has posted 17 shirtless selfies on Instagram with no captions.
It all started here:
Notice the deep, brooding stare, the slightly flexed bicep, the artfully ruffled hair that screams, “I woke up like dis.”
In photo number two, Ansel shows us he’s not just a one pic wonder. He gives us a better look at his second eye and stares deeper into the camera. And deeper into my soul.
Yaaas Hansel, I mean Ansel, you look so hot right now.

Tbh we’ve all done a shoot like this. I went to a funding dinner for journalism recently (ironic I know) and I woke up the next day to a camera roll full of drunk selfies which I thought were hot at the time, but upon deeper reflection, I’m not even sure if both my eyes were properly open.
Now Ansel hasn’t returned from a Walkley event and isn’t trying to get a decent selfie with his makeup professionally done and false eyelashes on — I assume. But he’s feeling himself and he’s not going to just stop at 8 measly photos.

I’m almost teary with pride.
Instagram users were, of course, slightly confused with Ansel’s actions.
But don’t listen to them, Ansel! You’re doing amazing, sweetie.
