This fiercely anti-LGBTIQ+ conservative organisation in America opened its conference last week with a flag dance that closely resembled a gay pride performance. It was a curious way to honour hate.

The ‘Teens4Truth’ conference was held last week in Fort Worth, Texas, by the notoriously homophobic organisation ‘Mass Resistance’. The group is renowned for its extremist stance on LGBTIQ+ rights (basically that they should have none). They’ve linked homosexuality to bestiality, paedophilia, domestic violence and basically any other slanderous lie they could come up with.

Considering the focus of the conference was “countering the LGBT agenda”, the exuberant flag dance seemed like an odd way to kick things off. Between the flamboyantly rainbow-coloured flags and the lone dancer twirling them enthusiastically, the whole performance feels like something that would honestly fit right in at Mardi Gras.

The whole performance seems so incredibly wrong for this mass meeting of anti-gay bigots that it must be a joke. but apparently not. Watch for yourself:

Once the dramatic dance has come to an end, the MC returns to the stage and just says “thank you Derek, thank you very much. Hopefully getting off into the spirit of things”, like nothing out of the ordinary happened.

It looks like this group of homophobes really are just that oblivious. At least we can enjoy their stupidity as we take a moment to appreciate this entirely enjoyable, extremely gay, anti-gay flag dance.
