Apple’s electric iCar set to launch in 2019
After years of speculation, a new report confirms that Apple is ‘committed’ to launching an electric Apple car in 2019. According to a Wall Street Journal report yesterday, the team working on the project has more than tripled as the tech giant works with a range of owned and partnered businesses (including a potential partnership with BMW).

‘Project Titan’ as it’s come to be know, was given the green light a few years ago by Tim Cook, but only now does it look like the Apple gang are looking to really push hard to accelerate the car in to production for a 2019 release, earlier than initially planned.
The WSJ has also noted that Apple is including and testing autonomous/driverless vehicles but may not be planning to include those capabilities in its first-generation model, rather rolling it out gradually.
