Apple’s New Emoji Roll Out Focuses On More Inclusive Gender & LGBT Representation

For Apple’s iOS 10 update, a group of new emoji will be released that will seek to remedy some of the criticism the company has received in terms of diversity.

Women will be represented in a range of jobs and roles, including performing sports such as swimming, surfing, basketball, and cycling and in professional roles working in construction and as a detective.

We will be finally getting a rainbow flag, and err…a water pistol. Who ever asked for that? While family representation will be diversified to include single parent families.
