Ariana Grande Tried To Fix Her Tattoo But Made It Worse & People Can’t Stop Laughing
Ariana Grande proves that she shares some similarities with us mere mortals after she got a tattoo with a different translation than intended… then fixed it and it’s still very wrong.
Earlier this week the singer debuted a new tatt on the palm of her hand which was intended to say in Japanese ‘7 Rings’ – the name of her new single. However, Japanese speakers were quick to notice it translated to ‘shichirin’ which is a small charcoal grill.
Yep. I still can’t stop laughing.
In an attempt to fix this mistake, Ari enlisted the help of a Japanese tutor then posted to Instagram a photo of her updated tattoo.
Unfortunately, Japanese speaking Twitter users have said that the tattoo has gone from saying ‘small charcoal grill’ to ‘Japanese BBQ finger’. Yikes.
Why… how… now Ariana’s tattoo reads “Japanese BBQ finger” ? pic.twitter.com/zC2LxSKJtI

You really can’t make this shit up.
Predictably, Twitter can’t stop laughing about the tattoo translation fail:
