5 ASMR Channels You Need To Subscribe To Right Now
Fresh grilled Portuguese chicken and burgers - home of the iconic Bondi Burger and their legendary chilli sauce since 1986.
You’ve almost definitely heard of ASMR by now, but have you actually tried it out for yourself?
In case you need a quick reminder: ASMR (aka “autonomous sensory meridian response”) is the bizarre, uncontrollable bodily reaction to quiet, textural sounds like tapping, whispering and crunching. It kind of feels like a more extreme goosebumps; it’s a big tingle that overwhelms your head, shoulders and spine.
It’s kinda weird, but it’s also super relaxing and seriously addictive. Because of that, it’s really popped off on YouTube over the past few years. Even Punkee has given it a go! We recently teamed up with our mates at Oporto to tune in to the soothing, succulent sounds of a Bondi Burger:
Sit back and enjoy an entire minute of the soothing ASMR sounds of the Oporto Bondi Burger. We said what we said.– With Oporto

With so many places creating ASMR these days, it can be hard to know where to dive in. To help you get started, here are five of our favourite ASMR channels – from simple intro videos to relaxing forest walks and in-depth “roleplays”.
ASMR Bakery
ASMR Bakery’s videos are an excellent intro for any ASMR newbie. Most of this list dives into “experiences” and “roleplay”, but this YouTuber keeps things simple with a more classic approach.
Her videos focus on tapping, scratching and playing with classic ASMR “triggers” like velcro, plastic bags, scissor snips and whispers. If you’re just starting out, you need to find what sounds work for you. ASMR Bakery’s “100 triggers” video is the easiest way to work it out.
ASMR Hiking
There’s nothing quite like the great outdoors, but ASMR Hiking comes close. With new videos each Friday, this channel posts short walks through beautiful forests and past serene lakes. The eargasms are matched with some stunning views.
Filmed all year around, the videos change with the seasons: in Autumn, there’s a heap of crunchy leaves; come Spring, you’ll hear the forest humming with new life.
ASMR Requests
As the name implies, ASMR Requests, aka Ally, is happy to “bring your ASMR dreams to life”. Feel free to send in an idea… but chances are she’s probably already covered it. With videos dating back to 2012, she’s tackled every ASMR scenario from bedtime tuck-ins to puppy brushing and laser hair removal.
If you’re new to ASMR, it’s a deep dive into just how weird things can get.
Gentle Whispering
Gentle Whispering, aka Maria Viktorovna, has been in the ASMR game long before it was trendy. Over the past 10 years, she’s experimented heaps to find her niche in incredibly detailed roleplay ASMR videos. This Russian YouTuber is the real deal.
If you’re tired of home iso-haircuts, why not try her “salon treatment” video? With headphones in, it sounds like your hair’s really being combed and snipped. Trust me, it’s even more relaxing than a scalp massage.
Plus, if you’re curious to see how an ASMR pro prepares their spine-tingling videos, Maria has a second channel where she shares behind-the-scenes secrets.
Goodnight Moon
Want a truly out-of-this-world experience? Goodnight Moon’s fantasy ASMR videos have you covered.
Californian YouTuber Erin Timony creates classic ASMR videos too, but it’s her “Babblebrook” series that’ll have you hooked. In this she roleplays meeting mermaids, shopping for dragon eggs, and brewing potion with witches. It’s as wonderful as it is weird.
