This Aussie Legend Trolled Triple J’s Hottest 100, Posting Same Comment On Every Song Ranking

As the nation took the day off for Australia Day (or Invasion Day) yesterday, some attended barbies, others protested but the bulk of the lot came together and tuned into triple J’s Hottest 100 for 2016.

While the winning pick, Flume’s ‘Never Be Like You’ feat Kai, surprised absolutely no one, one fella that kept the country on their toes. That everyday hero was triple J Facebook page commentor Ben Lawson.

Lawson spent the entire day trolling the page, commenting the same thing on every single song ranking, writing: “Ya joking shoulda been higher”. He was clearly taking the piss out of the typical reactions garnered by these kinds of polls, that has become grating over the years.

He did this on all one hundred posts. Can’t say the dude’s not committed! In doing so, he developed quite a following, getting thousands of likes and comments as spectators watched on:

Eventually seeing what Lawson would say next became more exciting than the countdown itself. But what about number 1? What would Ben say?!

As everyone waited in anticipation, Lawson dropped this truth bomb on us all.
