Aussie Uber Driver Gets Shock Of His Life, Picking Up Hollywood Celebrity In His Holden Barina
What better way to embrace the Australian way of life than hitching a ride home in a Holden Barina.
That’s exactly what Hollywood mega-star, Mark Ruffalo did on Saturday night, booking an Uber trip home after a night out on the Gold Coast.
Uber driver, Mitch Hesse lucked-out, picking Ruffalo up from outside a bar in Broadbeach after he’d been out for drinks.
In town filming Thor: Ragnarok, Ruffalo is playing The Hulk AKA Bruce Banner after appearing as the character in the previous Avengers movies.
21 year-old Hesse, was trying to lock-in a five-star rating from his passenger and asked what he did with himself. Ruffalo’s response:
“I’m the Hulk.”
“I turned around in disbelief, I was so excited he was in my car,” Hesse told Confidential.
“He was a top, genuine bloke. He said he could see himself moving here, he loves it.”
Ruffalo was more than happy to pose for a photo with the starstruck chauffeur, who later posted the pic on social media, saying: “I work as an Uber driver and last night I randomly picked up the movie star Mark Ruffalo … and it was so awesome! Does that mean I’m famous now?”
The American actor – known for his roles in films such as Spotlight and Begin Again – had been out for drinks with his film crew and booked the Uber at 10.30pm… not exactly a rager of a night!
The Academy Award nominee is reportedly staying in Paradise Point during his time Down Under. He’s also been spotted numerous times in public, snorkelling, jet skiing and hanging out with locals at Palm Beach cafe, Hendrixx Espresso.
Nice to see that not all Hollywood celebs are A-List divas. Onya, Mark!
