IN DEFENCE OF JARROD: Australia Is Rallying Around Poor Jarrod With Messages Of Support
If you watched The Bachelorette finale you might understand why ‘Poor Jarrod’ is trending right now.
It was absolutely devastating to watch Jarrod get his heart broken on national TV. With Sophie telling him, “In my head I know you’re everything but my heart belongs to someone else.” It was killer.
We may never recover.
Jarrod has been far from fan favourite. To be fair to Jarrod, he got one helleva bad edit. We only really saw the stressed out/obsessive cuts of the wine-maker, which got fans immediately offside.
Sure he might be a slightly intense and passionate bloke – but no doubt teams of producers were in his ear, getting him drunk and egging him on to wear his heart on his sleeve so they could sculpt him into their stage-five-clinger. As a result, he got hit with a lot of hate on social media.
Following the savage finale, some fans were even worried about his mental stability, with Osher assuring Twitter users that counsellors and carers were on hand.
ABSOLUTELY. From that moment.
He's not left alone, escorted all the way home in AU, and checked in with every day. #bacheloretteAU https://t.co/EV9yvH27j0— Osher Günsberg (@oshergunsberg) October 26, 2017
The man himself posted to his Instagram straight after the finale to share his feelz.
His post includes:
“This journey has been the most challenging & exciting in my life so far. Through all the highs & lows all I wanted was to be true to myself. Falling in love is such an incredible experience & really is the best feeling in the world. My heart will heal & I wouldn’t change a single moment.
“Sophie, thank you. You’ve helped me to learn so much about myself. Opening up to you & sharing my feelings just felt so natural from our first encounter. I wish you all the happiness in the world, you deserve nothing but love & laughter in your life.”
Instagram commenters have rallied around the heartbroken dude with messages of support.
Even on Punkee’s videos tonight, we were happy to see fans getting around him – YAS FAM.
While on Twitter, fans were sending their love to Jarrod. The shared sentiment online was just… poor Jarrod.
