Sophie From ‘Survivor’ Has Savaged The Show & Her Costars On Instagram
Australian Survivor’s Sophie Cachia has launched a blistering attack on the reality show’s production and her costars following being blindsided on Sunday night’s episode.
It should be stated from the outset that Sophie did not actually leave the competition — she was saved by a controversial twist. After receiving the bulk of the votes, Sophie was sent to join her sister KJ on rival tribe Water, but that doesn’t mean she was going to let go of any resentments over being blindsided by her former pals.

The next day, Sophie remained furious that she was betrayed by people she considered her allies, with most of her anger directed at Survivor alum Sam Gash who joined the show with husband Mark Wales. Sophie complained about Sam to Mark in one of her many missteps this week, which left her offside with not only her old tribe but her current one.
During the following challenge, Sophie once again was on the attack against her the Blood tribe, which was rather awkward to watch as all of their loved ones were in the Water tribe. She then confronted Sam and some of her ex-tribe members when the teams combined after a rewards challenge and she stirred even more drama.
In short, her whole strategy to alienate and annoy basically everyone was pretty baffling.

And it doesn’t look like Sophie has let go of her grudge against the Blood tribe since filming wrapped. Following this week’s episodes, she’s been posting loads of different Instagram Stories taking aim at some of her costars. “The lies created to save their own asses turned really personal and I wasn’t having a part of it. It hurt me and a lot of others,” wrote Sophie.
She then alleged that there was some kind of conspiracy going on. “Mutual friends have confirmed it was a part of [their] plan from way before production even began when they knew I was on it. It was f*cking horrible and they know exactly what I’m talking about.”
In another Story, Sophie directed some criticism at Survivor’s film crew. “I’m also really disappointed in production again. Everyone could see us talking the whole time,” she wrote.
She went on to address one of her costars, but did not name them. “We made a set deal on that podium. I told her she could win and get the victory in front of both tribes, but in return, my boys would be safe and they wouldn’t be picked off.”
“I put my trust in her again. And I swear on my children’s fucking lives of that and hold my head high for that decision. I wouldn’t involve my children if it wasn’t the truth. That’s my loyalty to my people. That’s me,” she continued.
It’s not hard to figure out who Sophie could be referring to here, as in the latest episodes she’s harboured resentment toward Sam. Plus, Sam has revealed that Sophie has blocked her on Instagram, as she replied to a fan that she could no longer tag her in posts.
Oop!
Following Tuesday night’s episode, Sophie posted again to claim that the women in the challenges were not being featured enough in the show’s edit. “The girls battles were brutal and not shown enough,” she wrote, before adding, “Ok sorry I’ll go now, must be too dramatic defending people”.
She also posted about how she approached her time on Survivor, giving her followers a definition of the word “integrity”. Thanks, Soph!
She went on to write that “I was on my own for a chunk of this experience, and not in the slightest surprised that confident women petrify people.”
I don’t know about you but judging by the bitter tone of Sophie’s posts, I don’t think she lasts much longer in this game.
Sophie has made some valid points about how the show can be edited to preference men’s performances in challenges. However, to suggest that this season has villainised her for being a strong and confident woman — rather than for making some terrible strategic moves — is a massive slap in the face to the other women competing, including Sam, challenge beast Shay Lajoie, and Survivor legend Sandra Diaz-Twine.
