‘Australian Ninja Warrior’ Returned Last Night & Everyone Is Making The Same Joke
ICYMI last year’s biggest TV success story Australian Ninja Warrior karate chopped its way back on to our screens last night.
The series didn’t rate quite as well as it did last year, which could be a result of Channel Seven’s heavily-panned series, Australian Spartan, causing viewer fatigue with these kinds of obstacle-based game shows.
What did return, however, was the viewers keen on making fun of the ninjas as they failed miserably. However, we can agree that the majority of us wouldn’t (and most crucially couldn’t) compete in such gruelling obstacle tasks.
While being on any reality show means you’re open slather, we can’t deny these contestants demonstrate amazing physical ability, which many of us would never even bother to attempt.
How I would go on #ninjawarriorau if I attempted it ??? pic.twitter.com/pDWwUn5Zca

Just personally I give every single challenge a HARD pass. No thank you. I’m happy enough watching from the safety of my sofa, while sitting in my Grumpy Cat onesie and devouring a large pizza, but…
Viewers couldn’t help but find comfort in the fact they were watching, rather than participating:
#NinjaWarriorAU Sitting on my lazy bum on the sofa drinking wine watching super fit people do what I could never do. Bring it on…

It’s one of life’s greatest pleasures watching on as people with greater physical agility perform impossible tasks, while judging their every move.
Watching all the contestants on #NinjaWarriorAU makes me really see how lazy I am. I'm okay with it.
