Australian Survivor has, once again, knocked the sweaty socks right off us. This season we saw the Titans V Rebels format rolled out, bringing new heat to the competition, and it all came to a head last night when our Sole Survivor was crowned – Feras Basal.

It was slightly touch and go for Feras for a minute there: the jury went HARD on him for apparently not making huge moves throughout the game (blasphemy) after he struggled to convey all the strategic things we’d seen him achieve through the season. Thankfully, all’s well that ends well; Feras still managed to take out the title over finalist Caroline.

To say he’s chuffed to nab the crown would be a massive understatement. “To be the first Aussie Arab to win Survivor is such a huge flex,” Feras said after being crowned Sole Survivor. “To show off my culture and to show everyone where I’ve come from and my community is such a huge achievement. I’m so proud of myself.”

“I am absolutely over the moon,” Feras said. “I didn’t for a million years think I could make it on Survivor, let alone win the bloody game. I’m literally still shaking.”
