Much like in the late ’90s when Geri announced her exit from the penultimate girl group, our hearts have been shattered once again after Australian Survivor’s Spice Girls broke-up as Shonee was blindsided by King George after he turned on his alliance on Monday’s tribal council.

In a move that had us hurling wine at our TV screen like we were at a Married at First Sight dinner party, our Queen’s reign was brought to an end — hidden immunity idol in tow — when she received five out of the nine votes, including votes from Matt, Gerry, Hayley and close ally, George.

Despite the Spice Girls alliance being tight-knit throughout Heroes v Villains, it seems that George couldn’t get past being the third wheel in the Shonee and Liz (SHIZ) alliance, and opted to betray the smiling assassin by suggesting to Gerry, Hayley and Nina that they should vote out Shonee.

“I just got voted out! I was very generous in this game, giving out idols left, right and centre. And at the time I wanted to play one for myself, I didn’t,” Shonee said after her elimination.

“I hope it wasn’t George, because I saved him twice,” she continued before viewers were confronted with a clip of George casting his vote for her.

Of course, dedicated fans of Shonee were quick to eviscerate George via social media for his lack of loyalty to his fellow Spice Girl.

As if his betrayal wasn’t bad enough, viewers were then left fuming after a preview for the next episode showed a smiling George gloating and wearing Shonee’s clothing because the absolute audacity!!!

Speaking to 10Play after her elimination from Heroes V Villains, Shonee revealed that she had an inkling that her torch was about to be snuffed but ignored her gut feeling.

“I remember having a conversation with Matt around the fire saying oh, this doesn’t feel good. This feels a little bit too easy,” Shonee revealed. “At tribal council, I remember saying to Liz I’ve got a bad feeling. Even when I voted I think I said something along the lines of I really don’t like these three-three votes.”

“I basically gaslit myself into thinking my intuition wasn’t right,” she continued. “I was so on point but I thought, you’re being so emotional… just don’t worry about it, you’re just being crazy, it’s all good. It wasn’t all good.”

Despite her third stint on Survivor coming to an end, our queen took it all in her stride as she made her way to the Jury Villa.

“You know what? The next day wasn’t that bad, waking up to some pancakes.”

You deserve them, queen!

Australian Survivor airs Sunday to Tuesday on Channel 10 and 10Play.
