I Tried The $16 Aussie Face Powder That James Charles Uses & Ooft, It’s Good
Good news, sisters! James Charles’ latest beauty fave happens to be an Australian brand and it only costs 16 dollarydoos.
In a recent collab with Kesha, James could be seen using Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder on the ‘TikTok’ singer. Love that!
While he usually flogs mostly Morphe products, James is clearly a fan of the Australis product and as one of the biggest beauty influencers in the world, I had to see what all the fuss was about.
Was the powder actually good and FUN and fresh?
Here are all the deets for the Aussie face powder James used:
- Australis, Fresh and Flawless, Pressed Powder, $15.95
Here’s me without makeup on the left (I have slight rosacea) and then with the Australis Fresh and Flawless face powder applied on the right:
I was super impressed with the formula. It was smooth, buttery and the results actually look natural, rather than leaving your face looking powdery.
I was surprised to find it was full coverage, and I’d say pretty similar to MAC’s Studio Fix Powder, but much softer and not as mattifying. I wore it all day in 38-degree heat and it didn’t leave any creasing and left a soft satin finish.
It’s especially good for setting under eyes, as it’s soft, creamy, not too dry and doesn’t crease. I’d say if you have oily skin, you might find the powder isn’t matte enough for you but tbh, for $16 I don’t think anyone will be complaining.
