OI AVALANCHES – CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL US WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS HAPPENING?

In preparation for the Melbourne group’s rumored second album and their first round of gigs in nearly five years, The Avalanches have pulled all of their music off YouTube, Spotify, Soundcloud and pretty much everywhere else online.

It comes after some strong suggestions that the group are planning to launch their new LP before the end of June which will hit fans after 14 years in the making. New album artwork has also been added to all their social media channels (see above) and a headline slot announced for Splendour In The Grass, Primavera Sound and Field Day London. As you’d expect, the anticipation is doing our bloody heads in.

TheVine team noticed the missing music last night when trying to play tunes in the office and after a bit of digging around couldn’t find any of the tracks from the first album via official channels anywhere. Strange, because we were pumping them out loud on Monday.

Here’s the proof:

The Avalanches Music Is Offline

Why would they take their music offline? Who knows… these guys have spent over a decade teasing the world by doing a bunch of weird and illusive shit to get our attention and bait us. Well, it seems something is finally happening. For more info on the new release, check out our rundown here.
