Jackon Garlick and Brittney “Litney” Weldon left Bachelor In Paradise as a couple instead of meeting each other’s family and friends in tonight’s second-last episode, but the two have confirmed on Instagram that they are no longer together.

Given it was still relatively early days in their relationship, Brittney and Jackson decided not to fly their family and friends out to Fiji,  but instead try their relationship in the outside world, with Brittney saying she was excited to update everyone.

The show finished filming in late-2019, so it’s been a long wait for the cast to watch their journey back.

Brittney and Jackson both uploaded Instagram posts after their Bachelor In Paradise exit aired, confirming they were no longer together.

“We did catch up on the outside, I did meet his friends and family and we had good times, unfortunately life gets in the way and we are now just friends,” Brittney said on her post. “I am so happy that I had this experience and wouldn’t change anything.”

Jackson commented underneath her post, saying they were “great memories” and that he’d never forget them.

Jackson also took to Instagram to share his own breakup caption, saying he was mostly to blame for the end of their romantic relationship.

“Unfortunately after getting back to Australia, we found it difficult to see each other. Brittney did come to my birthday (and made the effort) in December 2019 and met all of my friends and family. She received rave reviews from all,” Jackson captioned his photo.

“I’m mostly to blame for the lack of effort to keep our good thing going because I came straight back into preseason training and couldn’t travel to see her.”

… and that’s the end of my time, and our time in paradise. . It’s difficult to put into words what it was like watching the show back. @brittneymweldon is such a great girl and is always the life of the party. . She deserves the world and I wish her so much happiness. Until next time Littney x

BRB, just gently weeping into my dinner (Garlo’s pie). It tastes weird when it’s salty and soggy. Love is dead.
