Pour Out Your Mango Daiquiris, ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Isn’t Coming Back In 2021
Whether Bachelor In Paradise will come back next year has been a hotly debated topic since the last season aired.
UPDATE: 15/10/2020
Network 10 held their Upfronts for the new and returning shows for 2021 and Bachelor In Paradise was NOT on the list. However, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will be returning in 2021 with Osher Gunsberg saying: “Get set for more love stories, luxurious dates, and alpaca cameos when we return with The Bachelor and The Bachelorette Australia in 2021.”

First there was the rumoured contestant’s list, with names like Chelsie McLeod and Carlin Sterritt tipped to be on the next season. Then it was said the show would be filmed somewhere in QLD, due to Covid-19 restrictions. And now, the latest rumours are that the show won’t go ahead at all in 2021.
Megan Pustetto of the So Dramatic! podcast said she had been told by some inside sources who work for Warner Bros. that Bachelor In Paradise has not been commissioned and that they were “resting it for a year.”
The first source said that the show is taking a break and that they wanted “a bigger pool” of contestants to cast from and to stop reusing the old ones because people were bored of them. (Sorry Jake Ellis, we still love you.)
The second source said the show wasn’t happening because of Covid-19 and cited a contract with the Fijian government, where contractually they wouldn’t be able to film at another resort.
But then! A “hopeful” contestant said the show is still going ahead, but they’re not filming it until 2021 and airing it later on in the year. Apparently, Hayman Island in QLD has been booked out for six weeks at the end of January. Could it be for Paradise? Or could it be Love Island? Or is Warner Bros. finally sending the Punkee team to a resort for a month off and a bit of R&R before MAFS starts? Who knows!
Pour one out for all the Bachy rejects of this year, who were desperately clinging to the hopes they’d make it to Paradise for another shot of love… or Instagram fame.
I won’t rest until we see Juliette dancing up a storm in Paradise.
