Tonight’s Bachelor In Paradise left me doing a double-take, as it felt like we were watching an episode of Married at First Sight from earlier this year. Ah, January 2020. Simpler times.

Osher recruited a “human lie detector”, aka body language expert Steven Van Aperen, who questioned all of the couples and analysed their responses to see if they were telling the truth. Couples like Alisha and Greg (of course) were deemed honest, while Steve absolutely savaged Kiki and Ciarran. “From what I saw it was more staged than genuine, but who knows it may be an arrangement for a future Instagram family,” Steve said.

THE SHADE OF IT ALL.

The most thrilling part of the whole episode revolved around Renee and a ring she brought to give Ciarran. After everything she’s gone through in paradise with her ex, she finally decided to move on and she and Alisha literally threw the ring into the ocean. This show might have its flaws, but the female friendships it has helped form give me actual life.

While tonight’s episode was action-packed, there was plenty more action going down on Twitter.

Tonight’s Bachelor In Paradise retold in funny tweets:

Osher arrives to inform everyone that no more intruders are coming to paradise and Keira is less than thrilled. She immediately decides to leave and Alex goes with her.

Osher leaves the couples with some relationship-building exercises to complete and while Alisha and Greg thrive, Kiki and Ciarran struggle working together.

Osher introduces “human lie detector” Steve and he grills the couples. Alisha admits feelings of insecurity over Greg.

As Renee and Matt prepare to meet Steve, Alisha reveals she found out Renee brought a ring to paradise to give Ciarran.

Ciarran’s time with Steve is awkward with him getting super defensive over his history with Renee and his intentions in paradise. Things got worse when Kiki joined him and Steve questioned whether they were an authentic couple.

Frustrated over their talk, Ciarran grabs Renee for a chat. Afterwards, Renee is inconsolable and as Alisha comforts her, they agree to throw the ring into the sea.

Osher announces a final rose ceremony, with the couples deciding whether they want to stay for the commitment ceremony. Kiki questions Ciarran over the ring and why he didn’t tell her. Oh boy.

Ooft. That episode was damn good.
