New Bachelor Locky Has Opened Up About His Relationship With Fellow ‘Survivor’ All Star Brooke
It was announced this morning that Australia’s new Bachelor was none other than Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert of Australian Survivor fame, but many people were left a little confused because they thought he may not exactly be single.
This season of Australian Survivor: All Stars showed a blossoming relationship developing between Locky and Brooke Jowett. The two even gave interviews earlier this year about their relationship, saying there was an instant attraction towards each other.
“We definitely knew people knew we were close to each other. I think they were worried about the strategic side rather than the romantic side,” Locky said in the interview, first reported on by Sydney Confidential.
Locky was on the Kyle and Jackie O show this morning and decided to set the record straight about his once romantic alliance.
“Brooke’s an amazing girl, but the thing is it was filmed five months ago,” he said. “On the show you want to have that person you fully trust, you can kind of lose your mind out there. So me and Brooke just connected, we had lots to talk about and I think that really helped me in the game.”
Maybe it was truly a showmance all along? I’m not saying Brooke should go in as an intruder, but I’m also not NOT saying that, you know?
Locky also said the process of becoming the nation’s new heartthrob Bachy was all “pretty quick” and said he was going in with an open mind. “I can’t even deal with one girl, let alone 20-something,” he said. “It’s going to be insane, it’s going to be a crazy adventure.”
