Here’s The Best (& Worst) Predictions To Replace ‘Batfleck’ If He Steps Down As Batman

The reviews are in for Justice League and while critics haven’t yet decided if it’s any worse than Batman Vs Superman (it probz isn’t!), one thing we can all agree on is that Ben Affleck has well and truly outgrown his batsuit.

The guy just looks miserable. Justice League may have been a bad film, but it was dragged down even further by Affleck’s lacklustre performance, increasing calls for the role to be recast.

If the rumours can be believed, it sounds like Affleck is ready to move on as well. The actor said in an interview with USA Today that doing his own Batman movie is “something I’m contemplating,” adding, “You don’t do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it,” he said.

As it sounds like Batfleck is as good as gone, an early name to be floating around as his replacement is Jake GyllenhaalCollider reported earlier this week that Gyllenhaal has met with director Mark Reeves, the proposed director of a Batman solo film.

While this sounds too good to be true, nothing has been finalised and there’s plenty of potential Batmans (Batmen?) that could step into Affleck’s slightly withered shoes. Twitter is having the time of its life pitching some good (and v bad) actors to play the dark knight.

Here are the early faves to replace Batfleck:

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jon Hamm

Micheal Fassbender

Idris Elba

Keanu Reeves

Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Here are some errr… alternative options:

Jason Bateman

Parks & Recreation’s Ben Wyatt

This kitten

Micheal Cera

(Tbh, we don’t need convincing. He’s OUR batman.)
