It’s Happening: ‘Big Brother: All-Stars’ Is Coming Next Year
In the last few years, shows ranging from MasterChef and The Block to Dancing with the Stars have all copped all-stars seasons. Good for them, but I’ve sat here, waiting impatiently, for Big Brother to finally get its time to shine.
It’s time, my friends. It is time.
BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS IS FINALLY COMING!!
The Seven Upfronts on Tuesday confirmed that Big Brother would return in 2022 — but the season is going to shaken up. Previous housemates will star — alongside 12 new contestants — and the teaser package flashed iconic ex-housemates like Sarah Marie Fiedel, Trevor Butler, and ex-Neighbours star Blair McDonough.
YES PLEASE!
It will be interesting to see the old housemates merge with the new Big Brother format — which is far more physically and mentally gruelling than the season were in the ’00s. Gone are the days when Friday Night Live was the only games played all week, the ex-housemates will have to compete in regular challenges. I’d like to see it!
Here are some All-Stars who simply must be included in the mix:
- Tim Dormer
- Reggie Bird
- David Graham
- Benjamin Norris
- Tully Smyth (and Anthony Drew as an intruder, of course)
- Sara Marie Fiedel
- Ben Zabel
- Bree Amer
- Merlin Luck
- The Logans (competing as one person again)
I CANNOT WAIT!!
Along with the (earth-shattering) Big Brother news, the network confirmed that Australian Idol and My Kitchen Rules would be getting the reboot treatment. Next year will also see the return of SAS Australia, Farmer Wants A Wife and Dancing With The Stars: All Stars, along with a new take on The Voice reality show, called The Voice: Generations.
