Big Brother is back but not as we know it.
Last night’s series premiere was very different to the Big Brother that aired on Channel 10 and Channel 9 from 2001 to 2014, and not everyone is a fan of the changes.
Adapted from the US format, the major difference is that the housemates now choose who is evicted, rather than the public. This might provide some short-term drama in the house, but it will also mean that the bigger, more confrontational personalities will likely be voted out first.
This will leave some of the quirkier contestants from the premiere — like Angela, Kieran and Allan — vulnerable for an early eviction. Fingers crossed this isn’t the case because this show NEEDS drama. Here’s the funniest reactions to last night’s first episode.
