Big Brother VIP’s Ellie Just Got Engaged & It’s Wholesome AF
Big Brother VIP‘s Ellie Gonsalves is officially engaged to her long-term partner Ross Scutts and we couldn’t be happier for the pair!
With a little help from the Irwins, Ross popped the question to Ellie at Australia Zoo where Ellie was on stage getting ready to feed a crocodile.
Ellie’s charity of choice while on Big Brother VIP has been the Wildlife Warriors: she and her late-father shared a passion for wildlife and she’s hoping to make her Dad proud.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ellie opened up about her relationship with Ross and why the two haven’t gotten married yet after 13 years together.
“We’ve been together for almost 13 years, we spent the majority of the beginning working on our careers overseas & working towards achieving our goals, between that, I lost my dad & Ross lost his,” Ellie wrote.
“We’ve always been asked why we’ve waited so long to get engaged, while there’s things I share on here, there’s also a lot of challenges I haven’t shared. Ross & I wanted to wait for a time we could get past the loss of our dads & be in a really great place (mentally) where we could celebrate our love for each other.”

Ellie had previously opened up on Big Brother VIP about the passing of their dads and that being a big reason why the pair hadn’t started planning a wedding.
“It’s going to be a really, really hard day,” Ellie said to her housemates when asked about getting married. “Like a really hard day with my dad not walking me down the aisle.”
Caitlyn Jenner then offered to walk Ellie down the aisle when the day came.
