Bindi Irwin and her dancing partner Derek Hough have just won the American version of Dancing With the vaguely familiar Stars.

The Aussie teen (who was a hot favourite from day 1) beat Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter and US Army hero, Alek Skarlatos.

To be fair, Bindi was miles ahead of the competition, earning a record-high eight perfect scores throughout the series and making all us Aussie proud to get a win over the Yanks.

Carter came close, with a perfect score late in the piece, but Irwin and Hough took the title thanks to the popular fan vote.
