All The Best Reactions To Bob Katter’s Wild Segue From Marriage Equality To Crocodile Attacks
Everybody is losing it over Bob Katter’s ‘take’ on the marriage equality result, which was essentially that we should be focusing on the more pressing issues… you know… like crocodile attacks. I mean, obviously.
When independent MP Bob Katter, the member for Kennedy in Northern Queensland, was asked how he felt about the outcome of the marriage equality postal survey, the most glorious video content was born. We never tire of watching Australian politicians embarrass themselves on the public stage, it’s what we live for.
Acknowledging that Katter has always been opposed to marriage equality and working against the LGBTIQ+ community in general, his initial ramblings aren’t quite as homophobic as you might have expected from old mate Bob.
Before we go any further, here’s the video in question
In case you missed it, here's Bob Katter's alternative view on the #samesexmarriage debate. Thanks for watching. #Insiders #auspol pic.twitter.com/iObsR1tDs1

Katter begins with a smile and a chuckle, saying
“I mean, y’know, people are entitled to their sexual proclivities,” .
Even getting all poetic with:
“Let there be a thousand blossoms bloom, as far as I’m concerned.”
But everyone is really losing it for the extremely abrupt pivot to the MUCH MORE PRESSING issue that is crocodile attacks in North Queensland.
Literally, his face becomes an angry ball of fury as he spits through his teeth:
“But I ain’t spending any time on it,”
Snarling, he continues:
“Because in the mean time, every three months, a person is torn to pieces by a crocodile in North Queensland.”
Understandably, people are going crazy for Katter’s wild ‘take’, and the Twitter reactions are a riot.
How good is the wild world of Aussie politics ammirite folks?
if someone from another country asked me to describe Bob Katter i would just send them this video https://t.co/dLm1vTE8XD
