The Bookies Still Can’t Predict Who Will Win The Bachelor, But One Contestant Is Out For Sure
UPDATE 16:18PM: After the time this was published, the odds have changed. Sportsbet are reporting Nikki has overtaken as the official favourite for the first time this series, paying $1.70 to Alex $2.05.
If you follow the money, this week’s finale of The Bachelor is still too close to call.
As we approach the first part of the two episode conclusion tonight and tomorrow, the bookies have equal odds on both Nikki and Alex running away with Richie’s heart. That’s despite numerous rumours circulating in the tabloids which Network Ten have dispelled as ‘malicious’ and ‘false’. See here and here.
Unfortunately it seems Richie’s “bombshell” “babe” Olena is destined to get the boot tonight with the odds massively stacked against her. This comes after photos of her and pro tennis player Nick Lindahl canoodling on the beach surfaced online this week.
Olena was originally pitted as the favourite of the series, paying $4.50 to every dollar when the show first went to air. Today those odds have skyrocketed on Sportsbet to $21, making her well and truly the outsider. Time will tell if our Ukranian ‘assassin’ will suffer the long flight home from Bali tonight, but it seems her hopes are running down hill fast.
Meanwhile, Nikki – who began the series with odds at $8.50 – and Alex – who kicked off the series paying $7.00 are now both equal favourites at firm odds of $1.87. It’s our understanding that Alex was leading favourite until the end of last weeks episode when it seems the money has been flowing in her favour.
Now, if you’ve read this far, it’s likely you’re keen to hear our prediction on this matter of crucial national significance. If we had to put our money where our proverbial mouths are… we’d be getting right behind Nikki. I mean, come on… she’s got this in the bag! See the latest odds here.
