Breaking: David Bowie Has Died In His Sleep, Aged 69
Singer, songwriter, actor, creator of glam rock, individual, one of the most successful artists of the 20th century, and all round legend David Bowie has unfortunately lost his eighteen month long battle with cancer today.
His publicist took to Facebook and Twitter to make the announcement at 5.30pm this afternoon.

It’s devastating news for most fans as Bowie released a new album Blackstar only a week ago. Many would have loved to see a live performance by the star, who was fairly quiet about his battle with his illness, although he rarely performed or made public appearances over the past eighteen months.
The news has quickly taken over social media, with the large majority of fans taking to twitter to pay their tributes and respects.
