WATCH: Broadway’s Biggest Stars Sing Touching Tribute To Orlando Victims

Broadway’s biggest names have banded together to release a cover of ‘What the World Needs Now is Love cover’ in the wake of the Orlando homophobic shooting. All the proceeds from the amazing track will go to the LGBT Centre of Central Florida.

The performers include Broadway pros Idina Menzel, Bernadette Peters, Whoopi GoldbergLin-Manuel Miranda, Sara Bareilles, Carole King, Nathan Lane and Sarah Jessica Parker, who gathered in New York last week to record the Hal David and Burt Bacharach classic.

The video opens with a montage of singers offering their condolences to victims.
“All of us in the Broadway community … are deeply saddened … by the senseless tragedy that occurred in Orlando,” actors tell the camera.
“We send our love and support … thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted by this act of violence and hate.
“This terrible cycle of violence and intolerance must end.”
