Bronte From ‘MAFS’ Called Harrison Out For Body-Shaming Her With A Troubling Video
Bronte Schofield from Married at First Sight has been opening up recently about Harrison Boon’s behaviour towards her during the experiment.
She recently spoke to podcast So Dramatic! about her relationship with Harrison and her time on MAFS, highlighting the good and bad parts of their rollercoaster journey.
“I wouldn’t have stayed if I didn’t like him. But when you are in a toxic relationship, when things go bad, that’s what you vent to your friends and family about and that’s what they hold onto. When things were bad, they were so bad that I was so mind-blown that somebody could treat somebody this way,” Bronte told So Dramatic! host Megan Pustetto.

It was also So Dramatic! who has posted a video of Bronte across their social media channels, where Bronte recorded a diary cam video showing off her slim figure after she was allegedly fat-shamed by Harrison during the experiment.
The caption on this video says “husbands POV of me letting myself go…” while Bronte pans down to her stomach.

The video has received backlash on social media since being posted, with people calling out Bronte for not making the point she thinks she is.
“Showing off a slim figure to combat fat-shaming isn’t it,” one Instagram user said. “This is so weird, not productive at all. What does it prove?” another posted.
Other people went in to bat for Bronte. “No matter what size she was/is, judging someone on their body size is not OK,” a user said.
“Making someone feel they have to change the way they look for them to love you is not OK. I’m sad she felt that she needed to record herself for reassurance in that moment.”
“Harrison is certainly no oil painting!! Nor does he have a personality to make up for it,” another said.
Many fans called out Bronte’s post as a dangerous message, as well as being fatphobic.
“Fat shaming suggests there is something wrong with being fat. There’s not. It’s society’s fatphobia that is the problem,” one user commented.
While body-shaming is never OK, this video ain’t it. Might be time to delete it, huns.
