Aussie salt water crocs are (obviously) a force to be reckoned with, but photos posted yesterday probably best demonstrate just how fucking terrifying these creatures can be.

Australia Crocodile

Note: This is definitely not the photo we’re talking about

Sandra Bell photographed the crocodile below in CatfishWaterhole in Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park in Tropical North Queensland over the weekend. What initially looked like a croc hunting down some smaller prey for dinner turned out to be something a lil’ more sinister.

Bell witnessed the larger croc attack another smaller crocodile, picking it up with its powerful jaws, shaking it around and smashing it apart on the banks of the river. The cannibalistic attack unfolded in front of Sandra’s eyes and she did what any hero would do, ‘snapped’ away, because pics or it didn’t happen – right?

She posted the photos to Queensland National Parks who shared them with the world on Facebook and they’ve gone ballistically viral over the past 24 hours.

Scroll through the gallery below, usin’ them green arrows and shudder in fear at the awesome power of stray’n wildlife.
