The Canadian pop singer has been delighting fans by performing Farnsey’s iconic track during the Australian leg of her world tour. But she one-upped herself during her final show in Melbourne on Wednesday night, bringing out the big man himself so they could perform the tune together.

Dion told Farnham that she’d been singing along to his music for “more than 20 years” and that performing with him was “a dream come true”.

Farnham responded by saying how much it meant to him to hear he was “liked as a singer by one of the best singers on the planet”.

Fans shared footage of the two legends performing together on social media.

Dion continued to gush about it after the show, writing on Instagram that she would “never forget” the experience.

I’ve wanted to sing John Farnham’s “You’re the Voice” on my tours for so many years, and it’s been so great to finally do it on this tour.  But I still can’t believe that I got to perform it with the one-and-only,  John Farnham!  I will never forget this, the thrill of a lifetime.  John, thank you for your incredible talent, you’re amazing.  I love you!
