Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan Have Split Up And Now We Are Very Sad
TERRIBLE news team, celebrity dream-team Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have officially announced their separation after nearly nine years of marriage. Excuse me while I give up all hope on marriage, sorry.
We are sad to see Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan join the long list of celebrity marriages that have run their course – and before we even had time to recover from Anna Faris and Chris Pratt’s split. I know that their relationships are private etc. but sometimes when the couples are this freakin’ cute it’s hard to not get invested ya know? And now here we are with third-party heartache.
How could we not be invested in these two cuties???
Channing and Jenna first met on the set Step Up in 2006 and by 2009 they had tied the knot. The pair has released joint statements announcing their split to the world and assuring us all that they still love each other and they’re still a family. Sorry I just have something in my eye.
Here’s Jenna’s post to her Instagram which has since been flooded by passionate fan comments:
Here’s the full statement:
“Hey world!
So…We have something we would like to share.
First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for. We’re living in an incredible moment in time, but it’s also a time where truth can easily get distorted into “alternative facts” ???? So we want to share the truth so you know that if you didn’t read it here then it’s most certainly fiction.
We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy. Sending lots of love to everyone, Chan&Jenna.”
So, there’s nothing to do then I guess, except remember the good times and wish these two former partners the best.
Let’s have a moment of silence for that time Jenna gave an epic rendition of Channing Tatum’s iconic ‘Pony’ dance from Magic Mike for one of the best lip sync battles of all time.
We will forever miss this great couple content.
