CUTE: Cheryl Maitland’s New Fella Stalked Her Down After Watching ‘Married At First Sight’
Married at First Sight’s Cheryl Maitland impressively continues to stretch her 15 minutes of fame as far as it’ll pull. Her latest attempt at the spotlight comes through a desperate feature with NW Magazine.
Appearing in the glossy mag with her partner Dean Gibbs, she’s spoken about how the two met, and it turns out it sprung from Dean being a fan of her stint on the reality show.
Dean told the publication that the two knew each other through mutual friends but after her appearance on MAFS, he felt like he needed to reach out. The spread is filled with lots of cheesy one liners like “Thank God for MAFS!” and Chez explaining her bloke stalked her down and sent her a message:
“He’d seen me on the show and just sent me a really long message, not really expecting anything. Then it just kind of…One thing led to another, I guess”
And it you believe what you read, Cheryl reckons she’s going to get a ring on it. Apparently a second wedding is on the cards – most likely with TV rights signed through Nine if she’s lucky.
“Obviously, we wouldn’t be together if we didn’t see a future together [but] I would do a completely different kind of dress [for our wedding] – probably not the white dress I wore on MAFS. And I could probably wear heels this time because we’re both tall!”
Now that Cheryl is shacked up with her future hubby, is it safe to say she is back on speaking terms with her MAFS ex Jonesy? Nah, doesn’t sound like it. In fact she told NW, “You know, I think he blocked me on Facebook.”
Cheryl also mentioned that she doesn’t speak to many of the MAFS cast m8s anymore – except Sean, and funnily enough Jonesy’s runaway bride Lauren.
