When Chris Brown first sang and danced his way into Australia’s hearts, it was about the same time we were running the Violence Against Women: Australia Says No campaign.

As irony, and probably fate, would have it, that is exactly why his concert tour through Australia has been cancelled and his Visa to Australia denied. Yep. It’s official.

Taking to Facebook, the Australian promoter posted the following message:

Statement from Chris Brown’s Promoter.Chris Brown’s December 2015 tour in both Australia and New Zealand will not take…

Australia has been on a roll with the whole ‘up with this we will not put’ petitions lately, and banning Chris Brown from coming to our sunburnt country has proven to be successful.

Following public complaints and online hate from the public after Brown announced his tour, the Federal Government notified Brown that his Visa was denied on the the grounds of his prior convictions.

Chris Brown was in denial; he claimed that this was all media and bullshit, and fought (with words, not his hands) to keep his tour dates. He even pledged to be a part of a campaign against domestic violence.

Sorry bro, we’ll have none of that.

U wot m8?

His tour through New Zealand has also been canned, because Australia and NZ tend to be on par when it comes to this kind of stuff.
