OH NO: Chyka Is Leaving The Real Housewives Of Melbourne
In news of the ‘Why? Oh god. Why?’, Chyka Keebaugh has announced she is leaving The Real Housewives Of Melbourne after three years on the reality show.
As revealed in today’s Sunday Herald Sun, the OG cast member won’t be back if a fourth series is commissioned – which duh, it most likely will be given the green light.
Keebaugh told the newspaper:
“It’s time for a change,” she said. “I’ve had the most amazing ride and it’s been absolutely wonderful. I feel like I have given as much as I can to the show, and I want to concentrate on other things too. It think it’s good to go out on a high.”
Keebaugh really came into her own in the most recent season, where viewers saw a more assertive side to the hugely successful business woman. We’ve loved every second of watching her.
Keebaugh said she found filming the series these past three years very demanding.
“It’s eight months of your life,” she said. “It goes into everything, it goes into family, all of which has been wonderful. Honestly, no one in my family has had an issue or problem with it.
“But it does end up taking over all of the conversations, and I think my kids are like, can we not talk about Housewives? Let’s talk about something else.”

She will now be focusing on her website, her family and company The Big Group.
Keebaugh praised her fellow ladies for their part in the show.
“The things we have done together, I don’t think that will ever change,” said Keebaugh. “No one will ever really understand what it’s like. Whoever comes in to replace me, or whatever they decide to do, it will be an interesting journey for them.”
Whether the producers will be bringing on a new cast member to replace Keebaugh is unknown at this stage, or whether all of the ladies will sign new contracts for season four.
We will miss you Chyks! (And Bruce too!)
The third series will return for the reunion special on the 15th May.
