Cole Sprouse & Lili Reinhart Are Having A Field Day With Those Breakup Rumours
Earlier this week it was reported that Riverdale power couple Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart had split, after they appeared to avoid each other at a Comic-Con after party.
US Weekly even cited a source had overheard Cole telling someone that he and Lili had in fact broken up, but now Bughead themselves are finally having their say on the validity of the rumour… AKA they’re taking the absolute piss.
Uploading a steamy W Magazine cover page, Lili pretty much tore the report to shreds, posting to Instagram: “BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know shit.”
Cole posted the same image and joked: “UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.” What a mental picture. Yikes.
The W Magazine interview itself did weirdly hint that something was amiss between the TV stars, with the author noting “They did not want to be interviewed together as, well, an actual couple. If this seems a bit calculated, that’s because it was.”
Lili later said, “We’re acknowledging that we’re in a relationship, but it’s a small part of who we are as people. We want our own separate identities.”
You can make of that what you will, but I’ll hold out hope that they’re still together because true love lasts forever.
