Last night the Survivor Australia game really kicked in. The teams are no more as Vavau and Saanapu have merged and everyone is now competing as an individual. But despite competitors operating solo, alliances have never been more important, and when you’re on the outside of one… it well, sucks.

The most recent survivor to be kicked out of an alliance – and the competition – is Conner Bethune. Conner has really had to fight to stay in the game, with his team turning on him early on and despite his bestie Sam Webb saying he wouldn’t vote him out, he ended up stabbing poor Con-dog in the back.

Connor also managed to spend almost his entire auction money – $440 dollars in fact – on a piece of chocolate cake, which makes him my personal hero.

He sat down with the Studio 10 panel this morning to chat about how he’s been adjusting since being eliminated. When quizzed about his extravagant cake budget, he said “I definitely regret that, in hindsight”.

No regrets, Conner. No regrets.
