I’m Living In Whites For Winter. Here Are The 5 Cutest Creamy Knits.
I’m doing something completely non-groundbreaking at the moment – I’m wearing a lot of white. In Winter. I know, please shush your gasps.
But the truth is, I’ve never let myself lean into the crisp white shirt and luxurious creamy knit world before because I am painfully clumsy. Tomato sauce sachets aim directly for my tatas and coffee is just asking to be dribbled onto my sleeves, so I’ve stuck to ‘fun patterns’ that make spillages less obvious and avoided white almost entirely. But now I am 30 years old and a bride to be (!!!) I’ve decided it’s time to wear white. All the time.
To celebrate my decision to cosplay as a proper adult, I called upon my cosy friends at Cotton On to indulge me in all the grown-up hues in their knitwear collection. And, as it turns out, white is actually out – replaced by a creamier cousin who has the ability to make any outfit elevated. And of course, the unspoken advantage of concealing a tea spillage much better.

Lux Crew Button Cardigan in porcelain,
A cardigan is something that I know I’ve needed to have in my wardrobe for a long time, but as I’d only seen it looking adorable on members of the itty bitty committee faction, I was worried that a cardi would look super frumpy on me. But it seems the trick is to go with a more slouchy fit, so it doesn’t cling to the girls in that annoying lumpy way.
So for my size 16 body, I nabbed a 5XL.
Luxe Collar Half Zip in white,
All the girlies are wearing these half-zip sweaters and I wanted in on the action. I will say that I don’t think I’ve nailed the right length on me with this one, but I’m happy to forgive that on account of this knit being stupidly comfy.
So for my size 16 body, I nabbed a 3XL.
I hope that by now you’ve noticed that I am taking screenshots from my try-on video, and that’s why my face is doing rather curious things throughout. Apologies.
Fluffy Pullover in buttermilk,
I’m going to call this a partial slay. I love, love, love the colour but it was (as you can see) quite see-through. Yes that is now my blue bra on the internet for all time. And while I’m down for a sheer element in some of my clothes, it’s simply not what I’m seeking in a jumper. I want comfy, cosy, rolly, polly energy from a jumper, and this was simply trying to give both nana and naughty in the same weave.
So for my size 16 body, I nabbed a 2XL.
Luxe Mock Neck in porcelain marle,
A turtle neck with a dramatic sleeve? YES PLEASE. This felt way fancier than its $50 price tag and paired with a pair of faded jeans and a non-scuffed shoe, it can look like a fairly boujie outfit. Though, now I’m looking at the way Cotton On styled it for the site, I’m thinking actually I need to get me, myself and I a little skirt and some loafers stat.
So for my size 16 body, I nabbed a 3XL and I was really happy with the fit.
Luxe Pullover in white,
Okay, this was the whitest of the jumpers in the collection, and even then I wouldn’t call it a stark white. The details around the neck and wrists make this a dead dupe for more expensive brands, and I’ve already worn in 17 times since unboxing so can confirm it’s a staple.
So for my size 16 body, I nabbed a 3XL and it fit perfectly, despite whatever my face is doing in this shot.
