Netflix’s You is one of the most enthralling series in years so it’s music to our ears to hear reports that the creators already have plans for as far as season three.

The show has been nothing less than a phenomenon, with Netflix recently revealing that the series was viewed by more than 40 million members in its first four weeks.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, co-creator and executive producer Sera Gamble said they are hoping to get to do three seasons but it depends on the success of the season two.

“First of all, it’s up to the powers that be. We hope that a lot of people will watch the show and that it gets to continue,” she said.

“Absolutely it could come back for season three.”

Gamble went on to say the writers have already planned what might happen to Joe after season two and it all sounds incredibly exciting

“I will say that we have an idea for season three that is SO exciting that people talk about it in the [writer’s] room every day. So my fingers are crossed… I’ll just say, I hope we get the chance to keep making the show.”

At least we know a second season is coming, which will be roughly based on the second part of Caroline Kepnes’ book Hidden Bodies.

Gamble confirmed they are starting filming next month so we expect the second season will drop later this year.
