On election night, in the biggest dickhead move of the year, Pauline Hanson refused an offer from Labor Senator Sam Dastyari to enjoy a halal snack-pack together (she’s cray – they’re delish). Now thanks to people power, it looks like her founding fish and chip shop could be getting a ‘halal makeover’.

A GoFundMe page has been started which aims to raise money to buy Hanson’s old fish and chip shop and “make a point” by turning it into either a kebab shop or a pop-up halal snack-pack store.

THIS IS ACTUALLY THE BEST!

The GoFundMe page says:

“To make a point to the new senator elect from Queensland, Pauline Hanson, the purpose of this GoFundMe is to purchase Pauline Hansons’s old Fish and Chip shop and turn it into either a Kebab Shop or a Pop-Up Halal Snack-Pack store.”

Organiser James Warne told The Huffington Post: “It’d be good if it generated more publicity about how antiquated her views are and how xenophobic and racist they are and how misinformed she and her party are about halal,”

Ms Hanson owned the fish and chip shop in the late 1980s and 90s and it was made famous after she often mentioned it in speeches calling for multiculturalism to be abolished. And how’s that going for her?

Hanson’s old stomping ground is right now being run by Vietnamese couple Thanh Huong Huynh and her husband Huong Van Nguyen took, who came to Australia more than 20 years ago after seeking asylum.

The move would certainly infuriate the outspoken Senator-elect, and that makes us pretty darn happy!
