Donald Trump’s ‘Bad Hombres’ Debate Response Is The Twitter Gag That Keeps On Giving
In case you missed it, today the third and thankfully final presidential debate was held. The gist of the event, was mostly Donald Trump throwing random insults at a largely unfazed Hillary Clinton.
Trump called her a “puppet” when questioned about his relationship with Vladimir Putin and in response to Clinton discussing how to handle entitlement programs, replied by saying she was “such a nasty woman”. I’m sure that really hurt.
But further into proceedings, as Trump was discussing immigration policy and border security, in defense of that damn Mexican wall, he said referring to Mexican immigrants:
“We have some bad hombres here.”
Casual racism aside, it was just a freakin’ weird thing to say. Then Twitter happened and turned Trump’s offensive comment on its head. Instead they collectively heard ‘bad ombres’ – referencing a popular hairstyle, where the colour descends from one hue to another.
It’s a serious problem and it ain’t pretty – far from it. We’ve all witnessed this kind of offensive hair colouring, and politicians really need to up their game and start legislating against it.
Here’s some of our fave responses to #BadOmbres:
Did Trump just say "We have bad Hombres" here?! Maybe he meant Ombré #DebateNight pic.twitter.com/jrn4Q1WfD2

Merriam-Webster even had to step in, to stop the madness.

ombré: ???? having colors or tones that shade into each other #debatenight— Merriam-Webster (@MerriamWebster) October 20, 2016
