DRANKS ON ME: A $6 Coles Red Wine Was Just Crowned One Of The Best International Wines
Forget everything you know about fancy-schmancy wine, cos for $6 at Coles you can buy one of the world’s best red wines.
At the Melbourne International Wine Competition, a $6 bottle of St Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon, which is available at the supermarket chains liquor stores, was awarded the “double gold” medal in a blind tasting.
You can pick up a bottle at Coles owned outlets, such as Liquorland, First Choice and Vintage Cellars. You can go and get some worldclass wine for the price of a kebab! Fuck yas.
It seems when it comes to wine, some of the cheaper brands are bringing it in terms of quality. Just earlier this year, an Aldi $5 bottle of rose won a Blue Gold medal at the Sydney International Wine Competition.
Meaning: it’s always wine tyyyyme.
