‘Emily In Paris’ Fans Are Left Fuming Over The Final Episode

Bonjour! Break out a baguette and plop on a beret because Emily In Paris is back for another spin around the carousel.

Emily (aka Lily Collins) returns to the French capital for another year of making bad decisions and wearing baffling outfits (that I aspire to own one day).

For the TL;DR of Season 3: Emily has to decide whether to fall into line with her American boss Madeline, or follow Sylvie and her French colleagues into a new marketing venture.

Meanwhile, she’s still dating Alfie, a cheeky Brit she met in French class, even after she professed her love for chef and neighbour, Gabriel, on last season’s cliffhanger.

Mindy gets an exciting new singing gig at a prestigious jazz club, but her rising status — and a blast from her past — take a toll on her relationship with Nicolas. Camille is in her chaos era: she rekindles her romance with Gabriel, they even become engaged, but at the same time, she starts an affair with Greek artist, Sofia.

At the end of the finale, after Camille and Gabriel’s engagement party, they decide to have a surprise wedding. But as they’re about to exchange wedding vows, Cami halts the wedding. “You don’t have to do this,” she tells her longtime beau. She then informs Gabriel (and the entire wedding party) that the only reason they’re together is because she knew he loved Emily and didn’t want to let him go.

She goes on to reveal the pact she made with Emily banning her from dating him. Oop!

“Gabriel, you and Emily have been in love with each other since the moment you met. I can see it in your eyes. The way she looks at you, the way you look at her — anyone can see it,” she says.

Cami ends her impromptu speech and storms out of the church. “I’m sorry but I can’t marry you and it’s time we all stop pretending!” she shouts… to no one in particular.

This whole thing goes down while Alfie sits there stunned. “I knew there was something, I knew it,” he mutters to Emily before getting up to leave.

Emily asks him to wait but he tells her, “I’m nobody’s second choice, Cooper. Now, go get your man.” While Emily tries to tell him that “you are my m–,” he interjects, “No, I’m not. I don’t think I ever really was.”

In classic Emily In Paris style, the season then ends of a cliffhanger. It looks like Emily and Gabriel might finally get together before he reveals that… *dun dun* Camille is pregnant. Sacré bleu!

But tbh, fans are more concerned with this question: is that the end of Alfie? With him admitting defeat and telling Emily to go after Gabriel, it appears like his storyline is wrapped in a neat, little bow.

This man was done dirty! Fans are furious that Emily has seemingly chosen Gabriel over Alfie by letting the British expat go.
